The Stockroom TLS has the overall responsibility to organize, prioritize, and coordinate activities for purchasing, receiving, P.O. management and inventories associated with maintenance parts and supplies managed within our MRO system. This position will lead the part room attendant team to including development of functional, team, and personal goals. Responsible for assessing the overall plant maintenance and supply needs, the allocation of appropriate people resources to ensure inventory levels are maintained at pre-determined levels required to support the manufacturing process. Serves as the focal point for sourcing of items to maintain production from suppliers who can deliver products on time and at the best price available while maintaining quality. This role is also responsible for assisting in the monitoring and controlling of the maintenance budget.

This is a 1st shift role (7A-3P).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop individual team members to maximize their level of contribution to the team and business.
  • Organizing, prioritizing and directing the overall Stockroom team to support daily operations.
  • Partner with parts vendors and suppliers to source and procure materials, repair parts, and services required to support Maintenance and Building operations.  Perform the duties related to the control, documentation and management of Stockroom transactions within SAP
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager in the administration of the Performance Management Process (PMP).
  • Monitors the building maintenance budget and works within said budget.
  • Monitor and report key StockRoom KPIs ensuring compliance to the maintenance play book
  • Coordinate and manage daily team activities, including job assignments, vacation requests, accumulated time off, training schedules, workload prioritization, and coverage.
  • Identify, develop, and implement cost-savings and cost-avoidance initiatives, including sourcing opportunities, inventory optimization, supplier alternatives, and process improvements.
  • Maintain effective inventory control, including inventory accuracy, appropriate stocking levels, obsolete and excess inventory management, cycle counting, and identification of opportunities to optimize working capital while maintaining operational readiness.
  •  Monitor inventory valuation and working capital, identifying opportunities to optimize inventory investment while maintaining appropriate availability of critical parts required to support site reliability and operations.
  •  Identify, review, and coordinate the disposition of obsolete, excess, and inactive inventory in accordance with established financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage new part creation and material master data processes, ensuring new Stockroom materials are accurately established, documented, classified, and maintained within SAP.
  • Perform duties associated with the control, documentation, and management of Stockroom transactions within SAP, ensuring inventory movements and records are accurate and timely.
  • Conduct routine reviews and audits of Stockroom financial and transactional documentation to ensure accuracy, appropriate controls, and compliance with applicable Global Maintenance Playbook requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management software such as SAP
  • Participate in basic and advanced problem-solving initiatives intended to support site continual improvement, knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance and or Lean initiatives are desired.  
  • Maintain appropriate purchasing and transactional controls, identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring Stockroom purchasing and inventory activities follow established authorization, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve Stockroom standard work, processes, and controls to strengthen inventory accuracy, financial accountability, operational efficiency, compliance, and service to Maintenance and site operations.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate Stockroom controls and standard work, identifying process gaps and implementing sustainable improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy, financial accountability, service levels, and overall Stockroom performance.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • High School diploma required
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in inventory and MRO management
  • 1 year or more of manufacturing stock room experience
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems
  • Prior Stockroom and/or MRO management Experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • Proven track record of safe work with demonstrated safety leadership examples.
  • Working knowledge of industrial parts.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems as it pertains to maintenance and operations a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • TPM/Lean knowledge and application, including continual improvement process application.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of site teams effectively in oral and written communication.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job.  This includes lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis and up to seventy-five (75) pounds occasionally, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and daily.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to take control of situations and follow them through to a successful result.
  • Proactive mind-set, decision making ability and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just in time pressures.

The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 111,840.00 USD - 146,790.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives.
