Clubs, Pods and Councils at The LSB
We are committed to ensuring everyone who works at the LSB feels that they have a real sense of belonging. We want our offices to be places where everyone can show up as who they are and do their best possible work. To encourage connections with our team members, drive inclusion through learning from one another and more, we give our team space to be part of employee-led groups that align with what they have a passion for, are interested in learning or want to support.
At our Europe locations, we call them Clubs. In the U.S. we call them Pods. When they are a little more formal, we call them Councils or Committees. No matter the name — each group offers a place for our people to connect, grow and be true to themselves.
These groups are always evolving and growing and new ones are frequently created as team members find common interests. As a member of our team, you're empowered to help shape the culture by joining or creating these ways to connect.

Giving Back
CARE Pod | USA
The CARE Pod inspires our teams to use dedicated company care hours for volunteering, making a tangible difference in community health and wellness. We passionately support and encourage these efforts, believing that together, we can create lasting, positive impacts and build stronger, healthier communities for everyone.
Charity Pod | Europe
Our UK Charity Pod team coordinates team volunteer efforts such as our annual Earth Day Care Day cleanups as well as smaller group events during the year. Recent examples of initiatives include transforming and improving living spaces for children, participating in a cookery class that supports refugee and migrant issues and more.
Inclusive Culture
Culture Committee | USA
The Culture Committee is a passionate group of culture collaborators that spans functions, career levels and locations. The team leads, enables and inspires human connections across the USA LSB organization. These connections are designed to be authentic, inclusive and fun while amplifying LSB values and creating and protecting a welcoming, rich and robust culture.

People Pod | USA
People Pod fosters a diverse and inclusive community, where every employee is valued, empowered, and supported. Together, we nurture belonging, equity, and personal growth, shaping a workplace that celebrates unique differences. A few examples of People Pod events from the past year include a Lunar New Year celebration, a “Gift of Warmth” blanket making event for charity, sharing information for World Mental Health Day and much, much more.
Ubuntu | Europe
In Europe, our group is called Ubuntu, a Zulu word for humanity, as humanity is at the heart of our mission. Ubuntu helps carry out initiatives celebrating the diversity and individuality of our people, helping us thrive as a business, allowing us to create the best product and enabling us to support the environment in innovative and exciting ways.
Ubuntu embraces and celebrates the authenticity of our employees, as it is their uniqueness that gives us the opportunity to make an impact on our planet and our society. We all have a part to play in creating a place where uniqueness is celebrated and actively pursued.
IGN!TE | USA
The San Francisco IGN!TE chapter is part of the Employee Resource Group that is active at several of SC Johnson’s global offices. The group’s vision is to empower, retain and celebrate leaders, allies and advocates who drive change to create a better world where individuals can be their authentic selves. Their mission is to ignite acceptance and unity through advocacy, education and intersectional allyship inclusive of gender identity, expression and sexual orientation. IGN!TE strives to lead change globally within SCJ and local communities through outreach and service.
Get Moving
Bike-to-Lunch Pod | USA
The Bike-to-Lunch Pod brings team members who have a love of being on two wheels together to explore San Francisco neighborhoods and enjoy the culinary delights of the city.
Only Gains | Europe
Only Gains specializes in high-energy, engaging workouts designed to challenge all fitness levels. Whether a beginner or a seasoned athlete, the classes combine circuit training, skipping and boxing to boost strength, endurance and agility. LSB team members gather to get fit, have fun and become part of our supportive fitness family!
Soccer Pod | USA
Soccer Pod is a safe space for sports enthusiasts to cheer for their favorite teams, talk about Premier League, MLS, and Copa Libertadores. Social events the Soccer Pod hosts include viewing parties and friendly soccer matches with Pod members.
For Readers
Book Club | Europe
The Book Club gathers reading enthusiasts to meet up and discuss featured books chosen by the team. The group has enjoyed books across genres and meeting up off-site to enjoy coffee or drinks and snacks while reviewing their reads.
Growing & Going Green
Plant Pod | USA
The Plant Pod plans activities throughout the year that bring together those with a green thumb, and those who wish they had one, to learn about plants and nature. Activities the Plant Pod hosts include repotting houseplants, sharing plant cuttings and herbs with group members, bee education, field trips to local gardens and terrarium creation. The group has also participated in community outreach clean-up days to serve the area through beautification efforts.
Sustainable Marketing Club | Europe
This new club is aimed at building connections between teams and elevating our claims and brand stories using sustainability. This club aims to upskill everyone in types of claims, greenwashing, how to substantiate properly, reviewing other products in market and the claims they make as well as optioneering what sustainability claims we want to make for our brands that are inkeeping with our policies.
Gardening in the UK
While not an organized club, some LSB team members in the UK take advantage of an on-site benefit of planting and gardening allotment spaces provided by SCJ. Teams enjoy when the green thumbed colleagues harvest and share veggies around the office.
