This is a high-touch, consultative recruitment role requiring strong judgement, curiosity, resilience, discretion and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for Director and Senior Director appointments, from initial briefing and search strategy through assessment, offer and onboarding.
  • Develop, drive and manage strong relationships with senior business, functional and HR stakeholders, building the credibility to operate as a trusted talent partner.
  • Build a deep understanding of the business challenge behind each appointment and translate it into an effective search strategy and candidate profile, while developing expertise within two to three core functional talent markets.
  • Develop and execute creative search strategies, using direct sourcing, networking, referrals and external Executive Search Firms or specialist suppliers where appropriate.
  • Build external market maps, competitor intelligence and talent pipelines to identify exceptional and often difficult-to-reach senior talent and support both current and future leadership needs.
  • Deliver a best-in-class recruitment experience for candidates and hiring leaders, including clear process definition, structured progress updates, interview preparation, debriefing and onboarding support.
  • Partner with Total Rewards to support competitive and appropriate executive compensation and offer strategies.
  • Build capability in executive assessment, conducting structured and competency-based interviews and developing high-quality candidate insights throughout the selection process.
  • Partner with Talent Management and HR colleagues on succession planning, external talent pipelining and future leadership capability needs.
  • Articulate SC Johnson’s global employer brand, culture, values and candidate proposition in a compelling way to senior-level talent.
  • Coach and support hiring managers on effective interviewing and selection approaches, helping improve the quality of leadership hiring decisions.
  • Maintain best-practice processes and knowledge management of market and talent intelligence, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection standards by country and region.
  • Contribute to Global Talent Centre of Excellence initiatives, including Talent Acquisition enablement, employer brand, talent intelligence, AI-enabled recruiting and Talent Management.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5+ years of recruitment experience combining sourcing, delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting at Director level, gained within an in-house Talent Acquisition function, Executive Search firm or recruitment consultancy.
  • Strong end-to-end recruitment fundamentals, including sourcing, candidate engagement, assessment, stakeholder management and offer delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder and candidate management capabilities, with experience recruiting complex, specialist or difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Confidence engaging senior business leaders, with the communication skills, judgement and learning agility to build credibility and influence at executive level.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Experience recruiting Director and Senior Director talent within consumer and/or functions such as Technology, R&D, Commercial, Marketing or Supply Chain.
  • Some exposure to executive search or senior leadership recruitment; deep executive search experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong research and sourcing capability, with the ability to identify and engage talent beyond traditional applicant channels.
  • Curiosity about businesses, industries, people and external talent markets, and the ability to translate insight into search strategies.
  • AI and data orientated, with an understanding of how AI can support sourcing, market mapping and talent intelligence.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication, with high levels of professionalism, discretion and candidate care.

  • Effective in a fast-paced, matrixed and consensus-based culture.
  • Strong process management and ability to manage multiple searches and priorities.
  • Resilient, creative and composed, with strong listening skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite and relevant AI-enabled recruiting tools.
  • CRM/ATS experience; Workday advantageous.
