Overview
The Demand Planning organization at SC Johnson is responsible for translating true consumer demand into actionable forecasts that guide supply chain and business decisions. As a Senior Demand Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the demand signal for a defined country or country‑category portfolio, partnering closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
This role offers high visibility, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to directly influence business performance in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
About the Role
You will own end‑to‑end demand planning activities for a specific country and/or country‑category combination within the Southern Cluster (Italy, Romania, Greece and Adriatic countries). Reporting to the Associate Manager Demand Planning, you will be responsible for building robust demand forecasts, challenging assumptions, and clearly communicating risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a demand planner with 3–5 years of experience who is ready to move beyond execution into influence, decision support, and cross‑functional leadership.
About the Team / Department
You will be part of the Southern Cluster Demand Planning Team, acting as a key conduit between Commercial teams and Supply Chain Planning. The team plays a central role in S&OP processes and supports broader business strategy initiatives, working closely with regional and country stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and reliable demand forecasts using demand planning systems, in line with established processes and governance
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze historical and forward‑looking demand inputs (e.g. promotions, pricing changes, distribution gains/losses, new and discontinued products)
- Translate commercial and marketing assumptions into quantified demand impacts, clearly documenting forecast logic
- Partner cross‑functionally on new product launches, discontinuations, and portfolio transitions, validating assumptions related to volume, pipeline fill, and cannibalization
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to evaluate promotional effectiveness and close data and assumption gaps
- Prepare and present demand outlooks during S&OP Demand Review meetings, clearly articulating key drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure demand forecasts are shared with the right level of detail, timing, and confidence to support supply chain and business planning
- Track, analyze, and communicate demand planning and S&OP KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Experience You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning or a related Supply Chain / Business role
- Proven understanding of demand forecasting and the S&OP process
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong data handling skills
- Hands‑on experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g. SAP, Kinaxis)
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in the FMCG industry is a strong advantage
Behaviors You’ll Need
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect data to commercial outcomes
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage both supply chain and commercial stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Proactive approach to identifying risks, challenging assumptions, and solving problems
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence decisions without formal authority
