  • Partners with assigned stakeholders to drive timely, effective closure of identified SHE-related corrective and preventive actions.

  • Leads the development and maintenance of training processes to ensure that required safety, health and environmental training for the organization is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion.

  • Provides SHE technical support such as qualitative industrial hygiene risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards associated with safety, health, environmental and fire protection matters.

  • Represents SHE in Management of Change (MOC) reviews to evaluate and control potential health and safety hazards and environmental impacts associated with business activity changes.

  • Champions the investigation of safety, health and environmental incidents and ensures that corrective and preventive actions that address root causes are effectively deployed across the respective sites.

  • Verifies the accuracy of safety, environmental, and sustainability data in the company’s SHE database.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic university in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Experience in the deployment of laboratory safety programs

  • Experience interacting with third-party facilities maintenance service providers

  • Experience driving day-to-day ownership of SHE processes to non-SHE program “champions”

  • Ability to interact with others, establishing open, candid, and trusting relationships

  • Effective communication skills that permit the clear and concise transfer of information to stakeholders

  • Project management experience to enable prioritization and management of multiple projects to completion
