Role: Regional Facilities Manager - EMEA

Location: Frimley, UK

Overview:

The Regional Facilities Manager is a member of the SC Johnson headquarters Real Estate & Facilities team.  Leading through governance of an external outsource partner or collaborating with an internal on-site FM team, this position ensures SC Johnson assets are operated and maintained in a cost-effective manner while providing a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment.

Serving as the senior Facility Management point of contact in the EMEA region, this position is responsible for the implementation and oversight of FM strategies, global programs across ~25 sites, extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders and the overall seamless delivery of all facility services to meet SC Johnson’s goal to deliver surroundings that inspire our global workforce.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Maintenance:

  • Governance of the 3rd party outsource provider and/or SCJ Facility teams delivering day-to-day facility operations, services and maintenance activities of owned and leased facilities in EMEA region.
  • Regional SCJ point of contact on all facility and real estate matters, including escalation point for SCJ employees. 
  • Leverages organization skills, problem solving, and creative thinking to resolve escalated issues, drive continuous process improvement and team development.
  • Works closely with the global facilities leadership to execute the overall global and regional objectives and implement regional-specific operating strategies that achieve long-term asset management plans to ensure assets and facilities are operated and maintained in a manner that preserves or maximizes their useful economic life.
  • Communicate regularly and as needed with global stakeholders regarding the quality and adequacy of site services; prepares presentations as needed. Responsible for facility inspections on a periodic basis for quality assurance checks.
  • Periodically visits the sites in the region to meet with the local site FM teams and key client contacts to collaborate and ensure processes are developed/implemented and preventive maintenance programs are in place complying with global standards.
  • Leads implementation and oversight of global programs into region (i.e. office sustainability goals, SHE playbook, etc.)
  • Develops appropriate short-term and long-term maintenance plans based on performance requirements and standards and asset criticality
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for maintaining, reviewing and updating all applicable regional Facility Management standard operating procedures (SOPs) and for developing any new SOPs
  • Maintain Asset History and Program Documentation

Sustainability:

  • Develops and supports any company sustainability strategies; generates lists and implements opportunities that can be expected to assist in meeting the company’s sustainability goals
  • Execute and champion the sustainability strategies across the HQ facilities.

Safety, Health & Environment:

  • Enables a safe work environment and ensures compliance with all applicable Safety, health and Environment operating procedures through program management and documentation of key criteria in the evaluation of performance. Ensures facility procedures comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental actions of third parties engaged in activities at the site level. This includes incidents, near misses, compliance with local laws as well as compliance with SC Johnson standards and procedures.

Management & Finance:

  • Supports global FM strategy in the consolidation of regional 3rd party vendor services under a global FM outsource agreement.
  • Responsible for managing to the approved facility budgets. Provides guidance and recommendation of annual operating and capital budgets while working closely with Facilities Leadership & Finance to deliver these. Prepares periodic operating budget variance reports.
  • Maintains documentation (physical and electronic) related to regional facilities operations, capital projects, and audit.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the FMCG industry OR at least 5 years managing outsourced vendors
  • Experience leading and governing an outsourced team
  • Working knowledge of electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC and Building Automation systems.
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal customer service
  • Knowledge of standard business practices and ability to analyze data
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

Job requirements:

  • Full-time core office hours with the expectation to be available for periodic meetings across time zones
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required
