ABOUT THE ROLE

Deliver Exceptional Employee Experiences in a Fast-Paced HR Service Environment

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and solving problems that make a real difference? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where every interaction is an opportunity to create a positive experience? If so, we'd love to have you join our North America MyHR Delivery Center team. As an Associate, Human Resources Delivery Center – Tier 1, you'll be the first point of contact for SC Johnson employees and retirees, providing exceptional support across a wide range of HR topics through phone, email, chat, and case management. Every day, you'll combine active listening, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to resolve inquiries efficiently while delivering a personalized, high-quality customer experience.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll support key HR operations by processing transactions, managing employee inquiries, coordinating benefits and leave-related activities, and partnering with cross-functional HR teams to ensure accurate and timely service delivery. Your work will directly contribute to a seamless employee experience while helping support SC Johnson's competitive Total Rewards programs across North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to questions on administrative procedures and practices via multiple channels such as phone, email, case management system, and live chat. Use systems to document and escalate as needed following the appropriate processes.

  • Educate employees on HR Services available to them and encourage self-service tools such as the HR Portal and other systems as needed.

  • Research and resolve all problems in a timely manner.

  • Probe to determine root cause of the issue or question to provide accurate answers.

  • Ensure that documentation and employee requests meet the policy for each process.

  • Utilizes multiple online systems to answer questions, complete requests, and ultimately resolve employee and HR needs.

  • Actively contribute to delivering, maintaining, and improving HR services, procedures and processes to increase employee satisfaction, driving performance and achieving results.

  • Understand and utilize HR systems including Workday and the HR Portal including Self Service, Knowledge base and Case Management.

  • Support with New Hire Onboarding and I-9 compliance activities.

  • Work to meet expected service level agreements and business performance goals.

  • Escalate client service issues to appropriate party as needed. 

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and state, federal, and/or country laws and practices.

  • Support other various Total Rewards programs of the assigned region, including benefits, retirement, and compensation.

  • Manage maternity leave calendars and sabbaticals.

  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve HR functional knowledge and business acumen.  

  • Support colleague engagement and cultural programs and initiatives. 

  • Perform special projects and related duties, as assigned.  

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • 1+ years of experience in HR, Shared Service Organizations, and/or Customer Service Center

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years Total Rewards experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related discipline

  • Knowledge of HR functions, processes, and operations, including talent, data administration, or compensation / benefits administration

  • Ability to accurately collect information and ask probing questions to understand and assess the colleagues’ needs and situation.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills including ability to diffuse challenging situations

  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution

  • Skilled in conducting research and using existing knowledge to resolve inquiries

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed team-based environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving

  • Skilled in developing professional relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and peers

  • HR Information Systems experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time, regular employment

  • Work Hours: 7:30AM or 8:00AM to 4:30PM or 5:00PM (Mondays to Fridays) 

  • Shifting work schedule might be required depending on the critical deliverables and the urgent requirements of countries supported 

  • Remote work available once a week for eligible employees after 90-day onboarding period.

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
