Early Talent Programming
SCJ offers early talent programs to students in the surrounding community of our global headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin, providing world-class training and development opportunities.
Youth Apprentice Program (YAP)
Our Youth Apprentice Program (YAP) is designed for selected Racine-area high school students to gain hands-on experience working in a fast paced, innovative manufacturing environment. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to receive trade certification which prepares them to apply for SC Johnson’s entry-level career opportunities.
Chemical Technician Program
Our Chemical Technician Program is designed for students from Gateway Technical College and Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) to gain laboratory and study experience for our testing and development work. Our Chemical Technician Interns will acquire a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of batching, labeling, sample filling, stability testing, and performance testing. Upon successful completion of the program, students may be eligible to apply for SC Johnson’s entry-level career opportunities as a Chemical Technician.

PROGRAM AWARD
SC Johnson's Chemical Technician Program was recognized by the Milwaukee Area College Internship Consortium as an Outstanding Internship Program in the large employer category.

Training Opportunities for Proven Stars (TOPS) Program
Our Training Opportunities for Proven Stars (TOPS) Program is a program for students who attend one of the Racine-area public high schools. Selected students are able to gain experience by working at SC Johnson during summer breaks for four years — beginning the summer after their junior year in high school through their sophomore year in college. This program focuses on training and development for employment throughout the internship. Students are prepped year-on-year to be considered for the functional internship program which positions them for full-time hire at SCJ.

Sons and Daughters Program
SC Johnson’s Sons and Daughters Program is offered to eligible dependents of our employees and retirees while they are attending a college or university. Eligible dependents can work at SC Johnson each summer during their college studies. Opportunities are available in several business functions.

Early Talent Program Recruitment
