Process Engineer
📍Location: Mijdrecht, The Netherlands
🕒Full-time | 3-shift system + on-call duty
Are you a driven Process Engineer with a passion for safety, quality, and innovation? Do you want to play a key role in improving processes and leading technical projects in a dynamic production environment? Then this opportunity is for you!
Your Role
As a Process Engineer, you support all engineering projects from a process engineering perspective. You create an environment where safety and quality are guaranteed and act as the go-to person for topics such as process safety, compliance, hygienic design, new or modified installations, and the introduction of new products.
You contribute to the vision and strategy of Process Engineering at Europlant and support both regional and global engineering goals. A key part of your role is training and coaching colleagues, implementing LEAN/EM methodologies, and increasing process reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Local project management for base business and global product introductions
Preparing and managing project budgets (Major Expenditure Authorization)
Selecting and leading suppliers
Setting specifications and technical documentation
Creating purchase orders and obtaining technical approvals
Conducting quality, compliance, and HAZOP studies
Translating product instructions into automated batch sequences
Project completion, handover, and training
Supporting operations and maintenance in solving technical issues
Implementing and optimizing EM/LEAN methodologies
Participating in government inspections and audits (Seveso, ISO)
Supporting long-term plans to improve process reliability
Assisting the Engineering Manager with monthly reports and capital forecasts
What You Bring
University degree in Chemical Engineering
3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the process industry
Proven knowledge of LEAN and TPM is preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Dutch and English (German is a plus)
Broad knowledge of local regulations
Strong problem-solving and project management skills
Team player with a proactive and collaborative mindset
Visionary leadership in a dynamic environment
Strategic thinking and innovative approach
Knowledge of Seveso legislation and directives
