Senior Analyst, Operations Cost Accounting

As a Senior Analyst in Operations Cost Accounting, you will be a key financial partner to our manufacturing operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, optimize cost performance, and collaborate across regional teams in EMEA and MENAPT. About the Role
This position is embedded within SC Johnson’s Global Supply Chain organization and is responsible for the financial oversight of the Jeddah manufacturing site. You will lead performance monitoring, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and cost-saving initiatives. A critical part of your role will be ensuring compliance with internal controls and supporting statutory reporting requirements. You’ll work closely with regional finance teams in Italy and Turkey, and with the Shared Services Center in Cairo, Egypt, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
About the Team/Department
You’ll join the GSC Finance team, a collaborative and high-performing group that partners with supply chain leaders to drive operational efficiency and financial discipline. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, you’ll also engage with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate finance. The role offers exposure to regional and global stakeholders, providing a platform for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators including production volumes, conversion costs, and cost savings. Deliver actionable insights through timely reporting and business commentary.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the financial planning process for the site, including monthly forecasts and annual budgets. Support the S&OP process and identify risks and opportunities related to plant performance.
CAPEX Management: Prepare capital investment proposals, conduct ROI analysis, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Monitor project execution and improve tracking systems for capital spending.
Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and quantify opportunities to reduce costs across manufacturing operations. Analyze equipment productivity (OEE), resource allocation, and sourcing strategies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
Financial Controls & Compliance: Strengthen the internal controls environment in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley framework. Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits and implement process improvements based on audit recommendations.
Reporting & Collaboration: Ensure continuity in financial reporting through close collaboration with regional and shared services teams. Support statutory reporting and contribute to global finance initiatives.
Experience You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Management
2–4 years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting
Solid understanding of accounting principles, ideally with exposure to US GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP/BPC systems
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
