Working closely with the Sales Management teams, you will obtain an all-encompassing experience while gaining exposure to a variety of Canadian retailers. From budgeting, financial analytics & sales proposals to field & in-store execution strategies you will own selected projects that you can see come to life in the market place!
Each internship is unique and based upon trade or business opportunities that quarter. Your projects will support our dynamic business.
1. Develop and implement strategic account business plans in support of achieving pre-established objectives.
2. Develop and maintain multi-level contacts within account(s) while expanding both the existing depth and breadth of account penetration.
3. Create monthly strategies for field teams.
4. Monitor promotional return on investment & make suggestions for future strategies.
5. Plan for, track and evaluate the expenditure of all funds related to all account activity including, promotional plans and account profit objectives. Ensure all account A/R deductions are coded and current.
6. Analyze and evaluate resources of information including, but not limited to, account specific data, various internally generated sales reports, Nielsen market research data and various consumer research reports in support of identifying various merchandising/promotional opportunities thereby developing the appropriate sales strategies to most profitably achieve business objectives.
7. Conduct regular retail audits to observe competitive activity and better understand the needs of the retailer and SCJ field personnel.
8. Responsible to provide timely updates of department administration such as; distribution and pricing, financial tracking and activity grids.
9. Maximize internal expertise/resources in the development of business/customer plans and resolution of customer issues.
Job Requirements / Skills Required:
· Strong Communication (Written and Oral) Skills required (Essential Requirement)
· Proven Strategic Thinking and Fact-Based Problem Solving Skills (Essential Requirement)
· Excellent Analytical and Deductive Reasoning Skills; Ability to draw business conclusions, solutions and prepare / make recommendations.
· Ability to think strategically, analyze various business situations and make actionable recommendations.
· Flexibility, market dynamics change quickly and the successful
· candidate needs to be able to adapt quickly to new information;
· Demonstrated capacity for leadership;
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
· Strong project management skills; strong MS Office skills
· Prior experience manipulating and analyzing Retailer POS Scanner data, A.C.N.experience (preferred).
