ABOUT THE ROLE
Working within the Engineering Department, the student will assist the Project Manager in planning, developing and the execution of Engineering projects throughout the manufacturing facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Assist in the planning, development and coordination of new and revised processing and packaging projects.
•    Propose and evaluate improvements and modifications to increase productivity and reduce costs. Initiate and specify systems testing programs, evaluate results and recommend improvements.
•    Assist in providing information and training for the effective start-up and operation of new systems and equipment. Provide production teams with comprehensive specifications.
•    Assist in ensuring that all changes to manufacturing conditions are reflected in the engineering document control.
•    Assist in maintaining concise and accurate records on project development.
•    Assist in developing process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams and line layouts using AutoCAD.
•    Assist other engineers with day to day support activities as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Enrolled in a recognized university or college engineering program and is in 3rd or 4th year.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
•    Excellent communication skills – written, verbal.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working in a 'team' environment is an asset.
•    Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD are required.
•    Good analytical skills with the ability to trouble shoot effectively.
•    Previous manufacturing experience would be considered an asset.
•    Experience with project management would be considered an asset.
