The Senior Associate, Procurement Operations for North Asia is responsible for managing the procurement of Finished Goods, Raw and pack materials sourced in Korea.This position will support and deliver against key Procurement initiatives and is involved in all hands-on aspects of the procurement process.
The position is based in Yokohama, Japan, reports to the North Asia Procurement team and collaborates closely with global and regional procurement portfolio teams.

As a Senior Analyst, Procurement and Supplier Management, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging sourced in Korea within the North Asia region. Based in Yokohama, Japan, you will collaborate closely with global and regional procurement teams to drive key procurement initiatives and ensure seamless procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotes and negotiate favorable purchasing terms for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging for the Korean market, primarily working with Korean suppliers.
- Maintain procurement-related internal systems.
- Manage new product introductions and the setup process.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, proactively addressing any issues.
- Prepare procurement expenditure reports and provide insightful analysis.
- Collaborate with global and regional procurement teams to align procurement strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support and deliver on service KPIs.
- Coordinate with Shared Service Center (SSC) Planning and EM for supply assurance.
- Assess, validate, and monitor supplier capacity, providing recommendations and action plans to mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Must be based in Japan or willing to relocate to Yokohama.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supply chain environment, preferably in procurement or contract manufacturing management.
- Experience in managing external suppliers, ideally within the FMCG sector.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese, English, and Korean languages is essential.

- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and external partners.
- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and plan for future contingencies.
- Sound decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Basic understanding of SAP.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
What We Offer:
- Full-time employment
- Typical work hours: 9 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Occasional travel (10%), primarily within Japan, and to Korea as needed.
- Work environment: Yokohama office with the option for remote work twice a week
