Lead Innovative Product Launches Globally with Your PM Skills!
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Manager, Project Management Commercialization to lead project execution and drive successful product launches. In this role, you will apply best practices within our Product Change Management (PCM) organization, leading various projects from ideation to post-launch. You will ensure seamless collaboration among Subject Matter Experts, focusing on achieving key Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Delivered Profit, Capital, Quality, and Customer Service metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple, simultaneous projects and programs of moderate supply chain and technical complexity, primarily in North Asia (Japan and Korea).
- Lead global New Product Development (NPD) projects for commercialization and launch in North Asia, with a focus on Japan.
- Execute regional projects (incremental net sales growth/business maintenance/cost saving) for on-time, on-cost, and on-quality launch in North Asia, with a focus on Japan for JP innovation projects and/or buy-in Finished Goods (FG) to support JP business growth needs.
- Develop and manage detailed regional timelines and risk identification/mitigation plans to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure all appropriate functional Subject Matter Experts are engaged to deliver key sub-processes and milestones, with a focus on Cost of Goods, Capital, and Customer Service metrics.
- Track project progress against milestones, issue status reports, and escalate issues to the Product Change Manager and/or stakeholders as necessary.
- Collaborate with other cluster teams and/or projects to drive Asia business growth as an Asia PCM project manager.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA technical/business degree
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
- Project management experience, preferably in manufacturing or purchasing planning/distribution
- Business level English proficiency
- Native level Japanese proficiency
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with new product launches, contract manufacturing, and financial analysis related to operations
- Ability to interface, lead, and build relationships with multiple levels and functions, both internally and externally
- Ability to motivate non-direct reports and foster effective teamwork
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, non-structured environments
- Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to orchestrate effective meetings
- High degree of initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across countries
- Project Management (PMI) or Supply Chain (APICS) certification
