Manager, Sales Account Management

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the overall development and execution of SC Johnson’s sales in 6 countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Bolivia.

This role is responsible for developing the SCJ business in those countries through distributors through business plan implementation and follow up, identifying opportunities, strengths and objectives of the customers.

The Sales manager will collaborate with the retailers and SCJ internal partners, to develop and implement plans that support the retailer’s performance objectives. Also, will have significant cross-functional interaction with team members, marketing, customer marketing, customer service, supply chain, sales ops as well distributors sales teams in each country.

In each country and each distributor, we have contractors supporting our business and this role is responsible to support and develop the contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to maximize sales force effectiveness

  • Ensure Customer Management strategies and programs are executed

  • Business Planning Process

  • Category Management follow up

  • Regional cross border pricing issues

  • Customers local strategies

  • Identify key issues and opportunities by country

  • Stage of development level and key action steps to improve by country

  • Work closely with the local distributor’s teams

  • Continuous improvement in sales effectiveness as measured by driving category growth

  • Achievement of sales objectives and P&L

  • Improved distribution of key SKUs

  • Develop long-term business relationships with distributor´s team and customers

  • Cross-functional team building and influencing for customer support

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of Commercial Sales experience in a CPG company

  • Advanced English

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Consumer Insights and application potential

  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecast and planning tools

  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate the account at all levels adding value to the process

  • Previous Account Management (internal or external) experience and proficiency in computer skills and financial knowledge

  • Understanding of the customer’s business models and the key drivers that impact the customers P&L, from the customers as well as from SCJ’s prospective

  • Ability to balance risk versus ROI. Understand risk, profit contributions and JBP.

  • Balance critical financial needs of SCJ versus account

  • Demonstrated experience building multi-level customer relationships

  • Financial Acumen

  • Forecasting ability

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-Time

  • Required international travel (50% plus)

  • Once a week remote work for eligible employees (4x1)
