ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr Associate Visualization Developer is responsible for the analysis of functional reporting needs, developing global standard reporting, and delivering critical metrics and reports/dashboards to drive focused and impactful decisions. This person will lead discussions with various business functions to identify and design reporting solutions for key business problems, drivers and technical challenges. This role will mostly work in an Enterprise Data Warehouse and will deliver accurate reporting leveraging Power BI and Tableau.
This is an onsite role in Racine, WI
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead discussions and interactions with various business functions to capture reporting and analytical requirements, use cases, create prototypes, and iterate on design with a product mindset.
Partner with product owner and business users to understand the problems to solve to create prototypes and deliver solutions.
Develop insightful, visually compelling, and engaging dashboards across multiple initiatives and business functions that will be leveraged globally by business leaders and executives.
Partner with data engineering, governance, and architecture team to ensure deliverable meet enterprise standards for performance, delivery, and security.
Educate and instruct business partners on tools and reporting capabilities that are available.
Lead reporting data validation with the users and SMEs leveraging the reporting tools and working with the data engineers to understand requirements and solve discrepancies.
Learn and champion new reporting strategic technologies within the SCJ landscape.
Lead external resources and provide oversight to ensure delivery meets SCJ standards and business requirements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related business degree or relevant military experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
2+ years of demonstrable expertise leveraging modern BI tools like Power BI, Tableau for business data analysis.
2+ years of demonstrated proficiency and experience in writing and analyzing SQL code for modifying and transforming data
Knowledge of star schema and dimensional modeling techniques and standardized reporting principles
Legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Data preparation and modeling experience leveraging tools such as Alteryx and Tableau Prep
Partner and collaborate effectively across multiple team members in multiple time zones.
Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Able to provide ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions and present to business users effectively.
Able to negotiate and adapt to changing situations and audiences.
Skilled at data exploration from multiple sources and visualize results.
Able to translate business needs into relevant BI and analytics.
