ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Specialist, Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for various invoice processing and resolution tasks on the North America Accounts Payable (AP) team and you will report to the North America Accounts Payable (AP) Associate Manager. You will be preparing invoices for processing, invoice processing, invoice resolution, researching, troubleshooting related complex invoice issues along with other specific assigned tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare invoice &/or payment requests for processing

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to posting

  • Process invoices against purchase order using three-way match or required approval

  • Research and resolve electronic invoice posting errors (i.e. EDI, interfaces, freight, etc.)

  • Review and prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms

  • Understand and apply internal control requirements related to AP tasks performed

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries

  • Perform month end closing AP tasks as assigned

  • Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by AP leadership team

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience or equivalent business experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • SAP system experience

  • Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail

  • Possess strong organizational, communication, research, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent team player with ability to make prioritization decisions and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and high-volume environment

  • Demonstrate accounting principles and internal controls best practices knowledge

  • Ability to adapt to change and willingness to learn new skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Software (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Team)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time 1st Shift

  • Remote work available once a week for eligible employees

  • Relocation Eligibility: This role is not eligible for relocation
