National Account Manager, Independent Grocery

The National Account Manager, Independent Grocery is responsible for full end-to-end management of our Metcash and MSO Group accounts.

You will lead core business functions for your customer including developing and implementing a strategic joint business plan. You will lead promotional planning and execution, have P&L ownership including managing trade spend and be responsible for category analysis to deliver tailored solutions for your customer.

Key responsibilities:

• Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders, customers and SCJ, through effective planning, account management, communication, delivery of key performance indicators and resolution of service issues
• Manage and analyse category and sales plans to optimise performance
• Partner with SCJ cross functional team including customer category teams to develop insight-lead category strategy and promotional plans

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Experience managing national grocery accounts within FMCG retailers with advanced negotiation skills is essential
• Minimum five (5) years technical, hands-on account management experience
• A high level of commercial and financial understanding
• Ability to work creatively and tenaciously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent networking and relationship building skills; both internally and externally
• Be goal driven with a desire to deliver extraordinary results
• Identify areas of continuous improvement within your area of responsibility
• Be located in Sydney with unrestricted working rights as this role isn’t eligible for relocation assistance
