Overview
We are looking for a data-driven and commercially minded Senior Category Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will transform market and shopper insights into actionable category recommendations that drive growth across Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and E-commerce channels.
You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Marketing, Demand Planning and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, optimise assortments and shelf presence, improve reporting capabilities and support strategic business decisions. About the Role
As a Senior Category Management Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering category insights, developing compelling selling stories and supporting customer-facing category strategies. You will own key reporting processes, drive automation initiatives and leverage market intelligence tools to identify growth opportunities.
You will play a critical role in helping the organisation make data-driven decisions while continuously improving reporting, visualisation and analytical capabilities.
About the Team/Department
You will join a collaborative, highly engaged team that works closely with Sales, Customer Marketing, Demand Planning and Commercial Excellence functions. Together, we focus on understanding shopper behaviour, analysing market trends and delivering category strategies that generate value for both customers and consumers.
Responsibilities
Cooperation with local sales team, customer marketing, demand planning and other support areas within the Country to ensure top quality analysis, recommendations and solutions.
Lead the development of category insights using NielsenIQ, Discover and other market intelligence tools to identify trends, opportunities and actionable recommendations.
Be responsible for Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and E-com channels, driving in-depth market knowledge and preparing good selling stories to support listings, planograms optimalisation and customer meetings. Drive category growth and company KPIs within these channels.
Owning reporting tools (Listing recommendation, Market shares, Category topline) and further easing data usage and reports automatization in organization
Champion data visualization, reporting automation and AI adoption within the Category Management function to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Supports Forecasting and list price management
Supports Customer Marketing in display process (planograms, obsolete management, cost saving)
Experience you’ll bring:
3–5+ years of professional experience on similar role, experience in FMCG companies would be an advantage
Strong analytical skills and expertise in NielsenIQ and Discover with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial recommendations.
Proven experience in developing customer category reviews, selling stories, assortment recommendations and shelf optimization.
Hands-on experience with planogram software (SpaceMan preferred).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and large dataset analysis.
Experience using AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar) to improve analytical workflows, reporting and productivity.
Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, Qlik or similar) would be an adventage.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to create impactful materials in PowerPoint for customers and senior stakeholders.
Polish and English as communication languages are a must-have for this position.
