Site Engineering Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineering Lead to provide technical and engineering leadership at our Rosslyn manufacturing plant.

In this key site-based role, you will be accountable for the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of engineering activities, spanning capital projects, asset reliability, process and packaging engineering, utilities and facilities, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain and Regional Engineering teams, you will play an important role in improving equipment performance, building engineering capability and successfully delivering the site's capital investment plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site's engineering and capital project agenda, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.
• Own the Rosslyn site capital strategy and multi-year investment plan, covering asset replacement, capacity, compliance, productivity and factory development.
• Lead engineering design, implementation, commissioning and technical handover of new and upgraded equipment, processes and systems.
• Drive asset reliability and equipment performance, partnering with Maintenance on preventive and predictive strategies, chronic-loss elimination, obsolescence and lifecycle planning.
• Ensure engineering activities, contractors, installations and modifications meet all relevant safety, legal and company compliance requirements.
• Provide engineering solutions and capital estimates to support new products, processes, packaging and business initiatives.
• Drive the implementation of SC Johnson Engineering Best Practices, technical standards and continuous improvement across the site.
• Manage and develop relationships with engineering contractors, equipment suppliers and technical partners.
• Provide engineering governance for site utilities and facilities, ensuring reliability, capacity, efficiency and compliance.
• Lead and develop engineering and technical talent through coaching, capability building and succession planning.
• Establish and monitor engineering KPIs covering safety, reliability, capital delivery, cost, schedule and benefits realisation.
• Support sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce energy, water, waste and environmental impact.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Typically 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, including significant exposure to capital/project delivery and site technical leadership.
• Experience leading engineers, technical professionals and/or contractors is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in capital governance, equipment commissioning, reliability/OEE improvement and cross-functional manufacturing support.
• Experience within FMCG, LPG, aerosol, chemical or another high-volume regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Additional Requirements

This is a site-based role requiring regular presence within production, utilities and project areas. Flexibility may occasionally be required to support shutdowns, commissioning, breakdowns or critical project activities.

Domestic travel may be required, with occasional regional or international travel depending on project requirements.
