ABOUT THE ROLE

The Global Information Security Engineering team is looking for an Information Security Engineer who wants to help shape the future of security at SC Johnson. You will design and transform security capabilities across our global enterprise, working across endpoint, cloud, identity, network, application, and data security.

This role goes beyond maintaining existing controls. You will have the opportunity to evaluate emerging technologies, experiment with new approaches, automate security processes, and engineer adaptive security capabilities that respond to changing threats and business needs. Working with Security Architecture, Security Operations, infrastructure, application, and business teams, you will help take ideas from concept and proof of value through global implementation and operational maturity.

We are looking for an engineer who is curious, willing to challenge the status quo, and interested in building scalable security solutions that make protection more intelligent, automated, and effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and transform enterprise security capabilities across endpoint, cloud, identity, network, application, and data-security domains, with an emphasis on strengthening endpoint security and creating scalable, secure-by-design solutions.
• Explore and evaluate emerging security technologies and approaches through experimentation, technical assessments, and proofs of concept, helping shape future security capabilities and engineering roadmaps.
• Engineer automated, adaptive, and increasingly autonomous security controls using APIs, orchestration, AI-assisted technologies, telemetry, and policy-driven automation to improve prevention, detection, response, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with Security Architecture, Security Operations, infrastructure, application, and business teams to turn security challenges and emerging threats into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Build repeatable engineering patterns, integrations, standards, and documentation that enable security capabilities to move efficiently from concept through implementation and operational adoption.
• Continuously challenge and improve existing security controls, using threat intelligence, security telemetry, incident learnings, and emerging technologies to reduce risk, simplify the environment, and strengthen cyber resilience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, security engineering, security operations, infrastructure security, or related technical roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

•  Hands-on experience implementing, integrating, administering, or supporting enterprise security technologies, with preference for endpoint security experience such as EDR/XDR, endpoint protection, device control, or related capabilities; exposure to SIEM/SOAR, IAM/PAM, DLP/DSPM, vulnerability management, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Working knowledge across multiple security domains, such as endpoint, cloud, identity, network, application, data security, or security monitoring.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other enterprise cloud environments and security technologies.
• Experience with scripting, APIs, or automation technologies, such as PowerShell, Python, or similar tools, to improve security processes and integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a curiosity for emerging technologies, a willingness to experiment and challenge existing approaches, and the ability to translate new ideas into practical security solutions. Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, GIAC, Microsoft, AWS, or similar are a plus.
